First snow and sleep-talking

October 12th, 2007

Well, it’s official: winter is here. The last few nights the temperature has slowly been creeping down towards freezing, and yesterday during the day it actually snowed for a few hours. The ground isn’t cold enough for the snow to stick yet, so as temperatures rose throughout the day, whatever snow had fallen quickly melted away. Nonetheless we’ve had the first snowfall of the season, so I guess it’s time dust off the snow tires and get them on the car.

In other news, Julie talks in her sleep. Sometimes she’ll say the strangest things, yet not remember having talked to me at all the following day. Like last night I stayed up a couple of hours longer than her, and when I went to bed she mumbled “hello”. I thought maybe she was at least semi-awake, so I answered, and we then proceeded to have a short conversation before she fell asleep again. Sometimes what she says is totally coherent, but most of the time it just makes me go “huh?” :)
